Posted on February 3, 2009 at 9:45 PM Comments comments (0)

Tuesday 18th November,

Left Bundaberg today it was raining - not fun packing up in the rain!!!  We travelled to Agnes Waters and checked in a caravan park - it was a VERY basic caravan park.  The park does have some local wildlife and the girls have fun watching the roo's and feeding the kookaburra's.

The weather is quite warm, we visit 1770 and see the amazing coastline its so pretty.  Lot of tourist here though.

14th November 2008

Arrived in Bundaberg at 3.30pm staying at a top caravan park (Glenlodge) loved the town - very clean, reminds me of the 80's shops shut at 12pm on Saturdays and not open Sundays!!!  Took the girls for a swim at Elliott Heads - lovely spot.

Went to Mon Repos turtle rookery watched a loggerhead turtle lay 139 eggs, then we took part in help relocate the nest as it was too close to the water line how exciting!!!! the girls were so excited.

Next stop is Hervey Bay for a few days with Matts parents.  Caught up on the washing and relaxed!!!!  Some of the local frogs posed for a pic.

We travel up the Bruce Highway to Inskip point with both the water tanks full of water (hindsight tells us - don't travel with tanks full of water........)

we search for a while to find a good spot to put our van........... and manage to get bogged big time, its only Matt's skillful driving that gets us out of trouble.

We finally settle on a spot and have 3 glorious days of camping.  Check out the local wildlife hanging from the trees!!!!

Tomorrow is Inskip Point!!!
