St Helen's

Posted on May 18, 2009 at 11:13 PM

Monday 18th May,

After a few hours of school work we finally leave Scottsdale around 11.30am,  we pull into St Helens after travelling the long, windy, narrows roads................. thank goodness we have a UHF as the truckies announce they are coming up or down the mountain - your job to let them know you are over 13 mtr's in length and are in their pathway!!!!  no room for errors on these roads.  We pull into a local and very friendly laundromat/cafe and do the washing.

We then decide on Free camp no: 30 (camps 5) Dianne Basin - this is a lovely spot.  We will stay at least 2 nights.

The beach is a stroll away........ and the bird life is awesome!!!

Morning Hayes Family
See you are at Dianas basin, good spot, have you decided to give The Bay of Fires a miss???
You seem to be having good weather going by the photos, but no doubt cool to cold mornings and evenings, happy travels.
